I ended up taking out some clothes I didn’t wear anymore, and a bunch of stuffed animals that I didn’t want anymore. I only kept a few of them because they were special to me. One of the I Wish Someone Loved Me The Way Tom Cruise Loves Movies shirt moreover I will buy this few that I kept was a grey, medium-sized Koala that had a pink stomach, pink ears on the inside, and a pouch on the back. With that pouch, I always stashed a few things that stayed in there safe and sound. Sometimes, I even used it as a pillow. It was one of my favorites that I knew I wanted to keep forever. When we arrived in Tijuana to our family’s house, we brought in the bags of stuff to give away. Everyone was talking to each other, and next thing you know, I see my mom pull out my stuffed Koala and gave it away to my cousin right in front of me!!!! My mom asked her if she wanted it and she said yes. I was shocked because I didn’t remember putting it in the bag to give it away, so I pointed out that it’s mine, and that I want it.

Some of my older cousins heard me and said that they will give it back to me. However, my mom stepped in and told them not to listen to me. I kept on insisting but my mom said no, and kept telling me to shut up, but I didn’t listen, so we had to leave before I made a bigger scene. I was in tears. I felt angry, upset, disappointed… you name it. I couldn’t believe that my mom gave away my favorite stuffed animal. Up to this day, I still feel a grudge when I randomly think about that day because I still want my stuffed Koala. Writing this right now made me feel the I Wish Someone Loved Me The Way Tom Cruise Loves Movies shirt moreover I will buy this same emotions I felt in that moment 10 years ago. Yes, you read that right, 10 years ago, and it still triggers me just thinking about it. Many, many years ago, like more than 20… I bought a pair of Kenneth Cole sandals. The sandals were really cute and the heel wasn’t super high, so I wore them on the first day of my internship at a big time fashion designer’s studio. The designer decided to send me on an errand to QUEENS. I had only been to Queens twice before, but I said I’d go not knowing what I was getting myself into. I took the train and then had to walk about 1 mile (this is before Uber/Lyft!) and I had no extra money for a cab. This would have been no problem in sneakers. But in my Kenneth Cole sandals, it was a nightmare.
